First of all, there is probably some rearranging you need to do.

General can have
-Rules and Announcements
-Introductions
-Forum Discussion and Feedback
-General/Off-topic board.

This way you do away with the "new people" section, which is at the bottom right now and useless.

Then you have Indie Bands. Some recommended changes:
-Song and Band Recommendations (not every indie artist is new! You may also want to put your "Album of the Week" threads in here to have more traffic. Still make a new thread for each week and allow for discussion.)
-New and Emerging Bands
-Reviews (You can review more than just albums, even if the majority of the reviews will cover albums, you want more concentrated traffic.)
-Other music (you have no subforums in this board anyway, so condense it to one and you get rid of a useless header)

Then create a new Header
"Member Created Content"
Under that you can put
-Self promotion
-Covers
-Other Member Content

This merges covers and self promotion.

You should also have a sticky at the top of each subforum with info about the subforum, a link to the board's general rules, and any specific rules that subforum may have.
